The building has been a landmark in Portlaoise for over 200 years but not as a public house.We are only the fifth owners as a public house.
In 1974 Liam read an article in one of the national newspapers by The Chamber of Commerce on Portlaoise an was so impressed decided to move to there
Originally there was a separete lounge and bar which was gradually changed over the years.
Casey’s before 1994
The first major refurbishment was in 1987 when the bar was opened out into the one lounge/bar. It was two years after that project we won The Laois Black & White Pub of the Year.
